How to get involved
Mosaic Street Ministry has four service areas. Individually, they each serve our friends in the homeless community in a practical way. But, combined, they make a profound impact in the lives of those who benefit. Take a moment to see all we’re doing and then sign up to become part of the Mosaic Street Ministry Team.
Truck Run
1st and 3rd Thursday of every month
5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
We provide food, clothing, encouragement, and prayer for those that will accept it. We try to serve as many people in the unhoused community as possible. We not not only meet their physical needs, but we also help them connect to a faith-based community that can model the love of Christ to them.
Sunday Morning Care Team
Once per month
10:15 am – 12:00 pm
Each Sunday morning we serve the people in our unhoused community that attend worship gatherings at Mosaic Church. This care team provides prayer and encouragement as well as clothing and financial assistance through HEB gift cards. Our Sunday Morning Care Team is essential to forming new relationships and deepening existing ones. We also help people connect with the larger community and to the heart of God.
Mosaic Street Ministry Community Group
4th Thursday of each month
5:00 pm – 7:45 pm
We host a community group for our friends in the unhoused community. We provide a meal, scripture reading with a brief discussion, fellowship, and share a birthday cake to celebrate all birthdays each month. This service area deepens relationships with a goal of transforming lives for Christ.
Snack Pack Events
Quarterly
10:00 am – 11:30 am
Once a quarter, we do a Snack Pack Event where we prepare Zip-Loc baggies filled with non-perishable food and hygiene items. Mosaic attendees take these bags and distribute them throughout the week to people on the streets, either from their cars or in passing. A Snack Pack Event is generally an hour and a half long. We provide a practical ministry opportunity where Mosaic can serve those in need throughout the week.

Donations
We welcome donations to our Mosaic Street Ministry. Donations can be put in the collection bins in the lobby at Mosaic Church Austin. Below is a list of what is needed:
Year-round
Men’s: gently used jeans, cargo shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes – in all sizes
Men’s: new underwear and white socks (crew or ankle) – in all sizes
Women’s: gently used jeans and plain t-shirts (basic styles, not fancy please), and tennis shoes – in all sizes
Women’s: new underwear – in all sizes
Seasonal
Winter: blankets, warm clothing
Summer: ball caps, suntan lotion
